Sarah Whitney, Ph.D.
Sarah Whitney, Ph.D. is a NY State Licensed Psychologist who specializes in neuropsychological assessment and therapeutic tutoring. She works with children, adolescents, and young adults with various learning, developmental, and emotional struggles.
Prior to beginning her private practice, Sarah was the Middle School Psychologist for four years at the Mary McDowell Friends School, a renowned private school for students with learning disabilities. She also spent two years working in a private center in Brooklyn conducting neuropsychological evaluations.
Sarah received her A.B. in Economics from Brown University, her Ed.M. in School Psychology from Teachers College Columbia University, and her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology-School Psychology from The City University of New York Graduate Center. Her dissertation focused on the assessment practices that psychologists utilize.
Sarah is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and the American Psychological Association (APA).
Sarah lives in Brooklyn with her husband and their daughter.
