Happy Halloween!
One of the best parts of working in a multidisciplinary practice is when mental health, speech, and occupational therapists ALL come together to create something special. And we think Halloween is the best time to do it!
Amy, Jenn, and Anna worked together to create our annual (and highly-anticipated!) Halloween obstacle course.
It looks like all fun and games, but we are also working on some major skills:
- Balance
- Physical coordination
- Following multi-step directions
- Working memory
- Frustration tolerance
- Impulse control
- Emotional and physical regulation
- Upper body and core strength
- Hand-eye coordination
- Spelling
- Story-telling skills (among many others!)
What about our groups?!
Our Lego Social Club members were challenged to build something spooky or creepy. Check out the pics of our graveyard, scary face, and spooky mini figs!
The Board Games Group played Betrayal at House on the Hill and created scary planets out of magnet tiles. Both groups enjoyed the Halloween obstacle course and a special treat.
We hope you have the best Halloween yet!
